CREATE Workshops Insights: Advancing Reproductive Health Knowledge and Skills
The OGSM CREATE Contraceptive Workshop, in collaboration with the Obstetrical & Gynaecological Society of Malaysia, provides practical, hands-on training on hormonal implants and intrauterine contraceptive devices (IUCD). Designed for healthcare professionals, including doctors, students, and nurses, it enhances knowledge of sexual and reproductive health and contraception while offering practical skills in implanon and IUCD insertion.
Since June 2022, over 300 participants across Malaysia have attended, with 9 out of 10 in 2024 being doctors. Feedback shows 85% found it relevant to their practice, and 89% reported increased confidence in providing long-acting reversible contraceptives.
