RRAAM is an autonomous alliance of NGOs and individuals committed to promoting reproductive rights and services in Malaysia.
We believe that women have the right to access legal, safe and affordable contraceptive and abortion services, both as women’s reproductive right to decide on reproductive matters and as the right to health.

We work to increase
awareness of and access to these rights among women, health providers, NGOs, policy makers, the media and the public through the strategies of information, education and evidence based advocacy. Women’s access to contraceptive and abortion services is a public health, women’s human rights and reproductive rights issue. Long term enhancement of women’s health has significant benefits for economic growth and national development.
RRAAM functions
as a grassroots operation throughout Malaysia, working directly with communities to encourage women and girls to have greater bodily autonomy. Our network of activists and doctors are working to provide women friendly services and to ensure greater access to affordable care for women, whilst continuing to advocate for better, more inclusive and comprehensive health policy by maintaining a direct, and active, line of communication with the Ministry of Health and the Malaysian Medical Association.
We remain connected to you through the RRAAM Hotline. It is a free consultation service, run by our panel of counsellors, to provide information on safe, affordable and women friendly medical and surgical abortion services and contraceptive methods available to you.
